• You talk to a real person who owns the company. She will match winery venues with your desires

• We can arrange a customized daily itinerary for you including eating your picnic lunch at a winery, meeting owners and winemakers and discovering hidden gems
• We meet you at your lodging and driving for the day is now in our hands

What It Costs

What it costs is up to you and the range of services you desire.

• You have an existing itinerary with appointments and all we provide is a DD. Cost is $50/hour, no minimum.

Whether you are a first time visitor or a regular in wine country, Designated Driver Plus can take your visit to the next level.

Gratuities are at your discretion and are appreciated by our drivers.

We accept VISA/MC/Amex, with Cash always welcome. A major credit card confirms the reservation, with a $100 48hr cancellation policy.

We call it “Tour Behind the Scenes”, when guests get to go off the beaten path and experience some of the hidden gems along the wine country back roads. Your itinerary will be created based on the styles of wine you enjoy and the special experiences you want to have.

Why did we seek the largest international underwriter as our insurance carrier?

Because our driver training, hiring policies and our incident free driving records during our 4 years of operation allowed DD to be the only designated driver service they have underwritten and this means complete protection for you.

You are protected by one of the world premier insurance carriers the moment our driver gets in your car.

There are other services that claim to have insurance coverage for your personal or rental car, however:

• Rental car insurance will not cover a professional alternative driver
• DD has this special insurance because general liability insurance will not cover hired drivers in your personal or rental vehicle
• As additional protection, the hotels that recommend our service are also insured by our underwriters

Our Story

Dan and Ona are 20 year residents of the Napa Valley, former vineyard owners and have access to properties not open to the public.

Most guests visiting the Napa Valley or Sonoma either rent or use their personal cars during their stay. Those of us who live in the wine country, know how vigorously local authorities enforce DUI safety regulations and how costly and embarrassing infractions may be for our honored guests.

Today’s guests are looking for a safe but less costly alternative to chauffeur driven limousines or black sedans. Our fully insured Designated Driver rates are easily 40%-50% less than hiring a black sedan or limousine because we drive the guest’s car.
